If you are an auto-maniac, don’t miss out on this. Auto quiz ’10 is an all-out automobile quizzing event. The Engineering, Industrial and Sport aspects of the automobile would be the primary testing arenas of this quizzing event. Brush up your theory too, as there is a round to specifically to test your theory-application skills. The event is also loaded with fast paced entertainment. So if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the ultimate ‘Auto-Wiz’, do register at the earliest.
NOTE: Two per team, Event conducted for Die-Hard Petrol heads only.

Prelims

1.The preliminary round will be a ‘Paper Based Round’ with questions ranging from the fundamentals of Thermal, Production, And Design streams.

2.The teams with the six top scores will be shortlisted for the Main Round.

Quiz Rounds

1.Auto Trivia:

Facts ranging from the history of automobile, the automobile industry, to emerging automobile technologies will be questioned. No of Rounds: 3
Passes: Yes

2. Know Your Components:

A checkerboard of numbers will be displayed, Each number holds an image of an automobile component.
The team will be awarded full points if they answer without any clues, But will be awarded subsidised points if clues are requested.

3.Automobile Industry:

This round is an audio-visual round, were questions ranging from prominent personalities, Motorsport, Manufacturers, Latest technologies will be asked. Teams will be tested on their ability to ‘think and act fast’.
Score points will be rewarded to the team that answers first.
Wrong answers will be penalised and the next team will be given an opportunity to answer, Points will be rewarded proportionately.

4. Ads-Or-Clips:

Amusing clips/Advertisements related to cars will be screened, questions from these clips would be asked.

5. Calculator’s EDGE:

Three options will be displayed; Cites(easy), Altus(Medium), Fortes(Difficult).
Each option will carry seven questions, the teams can select their option and their question number.
Cites will be rewarded the lowest points whereas Fortes will be rewarded the highest points.
Wrong answers will be penalised. Questions will be theoretical in nature.
