In today's world where the need to find optimum use of renewable energy has become important, the area of transportation has also come into focus. Everyday new researches are going on in the field of economical and clean transportation. So its high time that we budding engineers come up with innovative ideas that would revolutionize the world, and what better place could we have to showcase our talent other than mindkraft '10. So put on your thinking caps and start working......

1.The objective of the event is to complete the track in the least possible time.

2.The maximum time allotted to complete the track is 3 and a half minutes.

3.There should be no charge stored in the capacitor before the start of the event.

4. Maximum of three members in a team.

5.The timer will be stopped when the machine completely passes the finish line.

6.If the machine is not able to complete the track in 3 and a half minutes, its distance from the starting line at the end of 3 and a half minutes will be considered for judging.

7.The initial rounds will be conducted individually and the boats which complete the track in the least time will go on a one on one round in the next rounds.

8. The team is only allowed to touch its machine once at the start of the race to disengage the discharging mechanism, however if the team wishes to touch the machine, they need to restart from the starting line and the total time from the first run will be counted. The handling time is also included in the total race time and no extra time will be allocated. However the team need not engage his discharge mechanism at this point.

Short listed candidates are entitled to present their poster during the event. In case any of the short listed candidates do not turn up, the wait listed candidates will be given an opportunity to present their posters . The teams will be given priority based on their registration number. Please note that no extra time will be given to the wait listed candidates for any kind of preparations. Participants should come prepared with their posters, failing to do so would lead to disqualification and other waitlisted candidates will be given a chance.
Poster should be related to theme “Green Energy”. Posters related to Power engineering shall be appreciated. You are supposed to send a soft copy of an abstract of your poster by 27th February 2010.We will shortlist few abstracts for the final presentation and they will be intimated through email.

1. Team size is restricted to only two members.

2. Submit an abstract typed single-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font and be no more than 200 words.

3.Acknowledgement of the receipt of the entries would be sent by 1st March, 2010 through email. mtech2009ped@gmail.com

4. Except for fasteners, all poster materials must be flush with the board, not protruding more than 1/8 inch (3.2 mm). There may be no mechanical or electrical devices on the board. All material must be accessible without having to lift or turn pages. There can be no materials placed in front of, above, below, or to the side of the poster. Judging criteria are based solely on the content of the poster. Only one author will be allowed during the judging.

5.A thermocol with pins will be provided. The poster must be no larger than 48 inches(122 cm) by 36 inches (91.4 cm) unfolded. A label must be placed on the poster which gives the poster title and author's name and institute.

6.Failure to abide by the above rules will disqualify the poster.

It is a mini working model competition explaining any scientific concept and it is open for all the students. Maximum number of students in a group is four.

4. The judges will ask the questions based on their project.
