2009.The MoU enables,

To establish and promote mutual
academic and cultural learning through faculty and student

joint research projects in order to foster institutional
advancement.

To develop activities of cooperation

An
Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the Department of
Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology RWTH, Aachen University, Aachen,
Germany on July 30, 2009.
The
following are the general objectives proposed under this Memorandum
of Understanding.

execute joint research projects especially in areas of
overlapping interest to the two institutions. |

b. |
To
take up joint international consultancy works in water
resources development and management. |
|
c. |
To provide facilities for
joint training / workshop / seminars on water resources
development and management for the benefit of professionals
working in this field in the regions concerned. |

d. |
To provide facilities for
graduate / postgraduate / doctoral / postdoctoral research
programmes considering specific requests. |

e. |
To facilitate exchange of
faculty / scientists / students. |

To give necessary technical advice in

|
|
Karunya University
has signed an MoU with Valparaiso University, Indiana, USA on
19.07.2008. The MoU enables,

MBA
graduates from Karunya University to be accepted into
appropriate PG programmes in Valparaiso University through
an advanced standing arrangement between the two
Universities. |

b. |
Arrangements for progression of suitably qualified students
from some of Karunya University courses to equivalent
degrees at Valparaiso University. |
|
c. |
Exchange
of faculty staff : for the purposes of staff development,
planning and handling of academic programmes, organization
of seminars, conferences, including the sharing of mutual
experiences in teaching, research and industrial practice. |

Memorandum of Understanding with
University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Karunya University, Coimbatore, India and the University of Saskatchewan,
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 26
March 2008 at Karunya University to establish
academic linkages and contacts between the two institutions. The MoU will
facilitate the exchange of students, organisation
of study visits and training, participation in Bachelors’, Masters’ and
Doctoral courses, recognition
of
academic credits, guidance and supervision of student’s theses and project
works. There will be provisions for scholarships for the participants.
Exchange of faculty is another area of cooperation.
Planning and handling of academic programs and courses, organisation of
seminars, workshops and conferences including the exchange of mutual
experiences in teaching, research and industrial practice and establishing
visiting Professorship / Adjunct faculty mutually in the two Universities
are the programmes identified under this area.
There will be joint programmes in Research and Development including
exchange of publications and reports.The possibilities of conducting joint
twinning programmes in interdisciplinary areas of specialisation of high
relevance to both institutions will be explored.It is envisaged to establish
Centres of Excellence in specialised fields of mutual interest in Science,
Engineering, Technology, Management and Humanities.

Karunya University and Dr.Steven Franklin, Vice President-Research and
Dr.Janusz Kozinski, Dean College of Engineering, University of Saskatchewan
signed the Memorandum of Understanding. |

|
Karunya University signed an MoU with the Brno University of
Technology, Czech Republic 4th April 2009.
The MoU facilitates the following :

Karunya University,
Coimbatore signed an MoU with Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, USA on
January 22, 2009.
This MoU desires to
partner with Moody Bible Institute, to bring their distance learning
educational programmes for the students and staff of Karunya
University, to enable them think biblically, to live christianly,
and to become effective stewards of their gifts and talents. |

|
Karunya University signed an MoU with the University of the West of
England, UK, on 1st April 2009. |

Memorandum of Understanding with Polish
University , Poland
Karunya University, Coimbatore and University of Information
Technology and Management, Rzesz’ow, Poland signed an MOU to
establish
academic linkages and contacts between the universities. The MOU
aims at facilitating the exchange of faculty & students for
training, academic courses and research. Other objectives of the
faculty exchange programmes are to organize workshops, seminars,
conferences, and sharing of teaching and research experiences.
Both Universities will strive for the creation of the
Centres of Excellence in Science, Engineering, Technology,
Management and Humanities. It is also envisaged to explore the
possibilities of conducting twinning programmes in interdisciplinary
areas of specialization.
The MOU was signed by Dr.(Mrs.) Anne Mary Fernandez, Vice
Chancellor (i/c) and Dr. Joseph Thomas, former Registrar on behalf
of Karunya University and Prof.Andrzej Szelc, Vice President for
International Relations signed for the University of Information and
Management, Poland.

The Staffordshire University,
UK has entered into an agreement with Karunya University on 29th
April 2008 for the following

The Ben-Gurion
University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel has signed an MoU with
Karunya University on 1st June 2008 and the objective of
this agreement is to enhance, encourage and formalize scholarly and
scientific interaction between the institutions through the
promotion of exchange opportunities for academic staff, professional
staff and students and through the encouragement of co-operative
activities.The envisaged modes of cooperation will include the
