The whole idea of making  Karunya a residential university is to  create a safe, comfortable and academically-oriented community. Our staff is dedicated to support students through the challenges, crisis and conflicts they might experience during their college days.

Student-centered  programs and services  are created and  implemented  emphasizing individual and community development, goal and value enhancement, and academic success.

                                       The thirteen hostels of  Karunya University are under  the overall  administrative control  of the  Chief Warden. He  is  assisted by  a  Joint Chief  Warden (Ist year)  &  Joint Chief Warden (Ladies Hostels) in  his administrative  responsibilities . The Finance officer of the University looks after the financial responsibilities.

                                       Karunya  provides you with  the  luxury of  staying  in  well furnished  hostels. Each room has  all  the basic facilities like  lights, fans, cupboards, desks and chairs.Students can opt for either single seater room or  four seater room according to their personal choice.

                            Karunya  provides  you with the luxury of  having a  separate room.

One can enjoy  the quietness of  the surroundings. The single seater comes with a cot,

fan,mirror,shelves and a cupboard.

                             Four  seater  in  Karunya  prepares you  for the corporate world. It

trains you how to live  in the world outside. You learn to adjust and enjoy the company

of the fellow room mates. You get to make new friends.

                       Each hostel has a reading room where news papers, periodicals and popular magazines are made available. 

                       Each hostel has a separate Television room with cable connection.

                       Karunya provides 24 hours electricity.The university has powerful UPS and generators which provide round the clock electricity in all residences and the university.

                       Karunya lies on the foothills of the  Siruvani falls. Pure water is available all day for the basic needs of the individual.It is unarguably the best place for a residential university.

                       Karunya mess  provides the budding professionals with delicious and

hygienic  food  for their  physical  growth. There are several mess  workers working  to

provide special menu every day. The students  have the  luxury of  opting for the mess

according to their  personal choice. They can choose from  among North Indian mess,

Kerala mess, Andhra mess or the normal South Indian mess.

                       Daily use items are available in special canteens inside the hostels. Students can purchase them any time.

                       Internet facility is  extended to the rooms of the students. Apart from this, each hostel  unit has a computer center with  internet facilities to meet the needs of the students till midnight. The bandwidth provided is 32 Mbps with good downloading time. There  is  firewall to  prevent  students from  accessing  unwarranted sites. Local LAN allows  students to transfer  important  files and access their area on the server for storing lab experiments and records.

                       Telephone calls  receiving/landing  facilities  are  made  available in  each  hostel. BSNL prepaid  card system,ISD/STD dialing facilities are made available in Gents and Ladies Hostels. 

                       Installation of Wi-Fi has  been carried out to facilitate e-Learning. There are Wi-Fi  enabled classrooms with  students getting their notes  from the internet.

                       Karunya is a fully residential  University  which allows  students  to approach  their  staffs anytime. Many of  the Faculty members work as Senior Resident Advisors (SRA) and wardens of different hostels. They are provided with separate rooms in the hostel wings of the  students. Students are free to approach them anytime for counseling, in case of sickness etc.They are also helpful during exams as the students can clear their doubts anytime.
